The Fees We Had to Pay

…and somewhere from my first days, other notes came out from my memory to join them but not out of freewill. Then recall I Shakespeare’s Sonnet 27 I quote then begins a journey in my head… I dived into intrinsic thoughts of what freedom I envisaged in the nearness future, of what unionism emancipated, of what typed of unionist one has to be, some use to be die-hard, others radicalist, and others go-between. Thought I again how to rise above the disguise of hostility timidity of tuition fees. These thoughts, have made me in my solitary confinement but not in a dungeon hole but on a spot held by Bursary memo titled to Students or should I say to me alone? I stood dead silent for hours, only to be tap from behind, it distract not my free thinking but the adrenalin of the thoughts continues to flow like a flood of sun in my innate mind as i conversate with him. My mind eye reflected deeply on how to ease or bring the best solution to my malady as I brainstorm. Recall that a Union exist in the institution and its motto reads an injury to one is an injury to all… really that’s a good brainstorming, recall I that the Union has conducted one of the best peaceful election and it was free and fair, and I’ve casted my vote to the President on seat. I ran to him. The SUG President was seated in Block A when I approach him with 3 comrades to relate my oddity in other to sought relief, I presented the Memo and I says take a look at this, he unfold it overtly as he reads… I say you ought to do something about this, he says I will do… that was how our dialogue elapse and I left. I met him again he says a letter has been forwarded to the Management. I was bless assured that, my probelm was entertained and awaits better result if not circumvented by some cabals who wants the admonishment of the masses, which am opportune to be e paribus unum. Then I went home, luckily there was a synonymous outcry ringing daily on the national dailies and as well as news media it makes headlines precisely at Lagos were the SUG fought hard for the reduction of their fees and they won their mandate , next to that was at Osun, were the government made insinuation of reducing their fees just to get cheap political end. The Union fought back at this. Is at this point that I try calling the SUG President but his number is not going. But reverse seems to be the case in our school. A union which has the masses at heart suppose to stop all the channel of communication since a letter was issued to the Management for dialogue amd it has not yet started. To make the case worse, the Bursary was issuing bank tellers to the collegiate. Worsen more, others paid the fee due to they have confidence in the union or due to poor communication. People need results which they can see, touch and feel not just mere words which you will utter to them. As a realist I believe on what is real is real, what I can use my senses organs to see and feel is term metaphysics on mind is not only being real but is real enough. Not to go off the road, is of this circumstance that others student fell victim of a fraudster who paraded himself as a benevolent thirdparty or as a go-between to ease their pain in the payment of tuition fees due to not having the full money and there is no installmental payment. What a cunt! This is a puerile words of divulging from the masses for personal gain since he is not entitled to pay the fees. The union is displaying all the symptoms of senile decay since it cannot stand or seat face to face with the Management to negotiate for the masses. Therefore, if an illicit fee is levied by the Management to the students, is of this, that the students will be extorted by the aid of the union since it has failed. I’ve started to lose hope from the led Nathan administration. How will a final year student be fraud, after staying more than two years in school? How will my younger be educated? When the country constitution stipulated that all have rights to equal and affordable education? It is a thing of distress that the students who fall victim of circumstance was necessitated by I don’t have and the union failure to stand for them. This is a call to all Students to shun being an educated illiterate. Martin says our life begins to end when we keep silent on things that matter, is of this that i intend writing and share my perspectives, higher learning is a not place to earn certificate only it is a place where rights and moral are learnt, it is place where rights to be defended, it is a place where you correct the wrongs happening in the campus and the society, it is a place where shyness is erased to wear in boldness, it is a place where boldness is learn in other to be well articulated, it is a place where courage and team work is build, it is a place where adversity is build and how to stand and overcome it is a place where ignorancy is quench in other to embrace enlightenment and also is a place of interaction… To be

Employment not new Constitution

It was a fiasco. A government who had make series of vouch to cut unemployment rate into a minimal point has failed. The cause of accruing a job in Nigeria is at the point of securing God’s mercy, bribery, or knowing highly placed individual who is willing to assist before one can secure government job. Unemployment according to Dr. Alabi (2013) defines it as a person who is of working age, a member of the labour force, actively looking for a job and is not employed. This implies that, one has all the necessary rudiments to secure a job willingly but there is no job. This same government has engaged on many jamboree which it has hosted by lavishing Nigerian wealth. The cost of this unwanted programs that the government has executed suppose to provide employment to active member …

Why Soldier need the knowledge of Geography in thinking maneuvering?

From its perception geography deals with the study of the physical features of the earth and its atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these. Since its branches connotes thinking process from its assumption and generalisation which entails an individual study, by seating down calmly and brainstorming his instinct and examining the nature trends. As a geographer all the process involves are logical in nature for example the calculation of local time, the location of places on map, prediction of rainfall, temperature and climate and examination of water turbidity etc all these are done through logical and deductive thinking process: which makes geography to wide in nature. As a geographer, since forecasting or prediction involves logical process and careful examination of its variable through observation and other method of analysis; thinking is one of the most essential tools in carrying out any raid or operation by a soldier. Furthermore, the assumption of spherecity of the earth was based on a logical thinking which was carry out by nautical scientist. In military sciences geography is the major ingredients use in the formulation and knowledge of terrain which implies that in military maneuvering a soldier is said to be superior in capability only in the knowledge of his terrain without this they are heading into an ambush. Many soldiers has been lost or disappear in a war front not because they did not stick but because of bad knowledge of the terrain and geography. War has been lost due to lack of proper thinking of the General in applying geographical trends in maneuvering which involves intercepting enemy lines, supply and reinforcements from flanks in either ways which he has planned. Soldiers need to be taught and get acquintted by mastering geography more in other to prepare for the unforeseenable. Since meterology is a branch of geography which study weather, atmospheric condition and the use of prediction of weather elements such as climate, temperature etc and the calculation of latitude and longitude which are use in both air, water and land transport, which aids maneuvering, if these are not carefully thought or planned it will lead to a catastrophe disaster and lost of men in the front which are very severe to man, marinelife and the entire ecosytem. The broadest of geography is all about logical thinking and if being taught and master very well by soldiers it will curb death rate in unknown terrain especially peacekeepers troops.

The Hard Question

Sometimes I wonder why should some question become so difficult for one to ask and even though those questions are asked, there seems to be difficulty in giving the proper answers. The hard question lies always between our hearts and sometimes our stream of consciouness judges us by holding us accountable, for us not to reminisce our thoughts it is advisable to note that writing is very important especially if we sideline the relevant parts of the hard question by taking into cognisant the way to ask the question which implies composition and building a strategy to curb it. Hard question are often very rare. Some of these are: where is God? Will the world come to an end? Will revolution take its place etc many people has different notion and possess hard questions to ask and they tend to hold it back to their innate nunnery mind. Some, if being ask, people tend to poised loathing habits on the questioning, so is better to hold it back and tag it as the hard question. What people tend to forget is that ideology and faith are in constant battle everyday because they varies. Peple formulate ideology everyday some base on empirical evidences while others on notions, faith too are base on point of views in the name of religion, since faith is define as indoctrinating the indoctrinator, these two notion always collide with each other. In a discussing class especially classical thinkers disagree with faith as in where religion is taking into bigotry, they tend to pose this question what is the stand of religion. If the question is being thrown to an neoextremists or fanatic he will look at it as a mere jargon, this is where conflicts always arises, it is worthy to note that the hard question are taking always in leniency in different part of the world. Because of the axiom thats one man food is anothers’ man poison so conflicting ideas always emerged the hard question has been kept hidden like salt. Since we are in a free world hard question need to be ask freely.

Revolution: the Few and the Masses

The world has started to evolved round but this time not in geographical evolution concept but is, in the notion of the axiom which says change is constant. Since, change is the only constant thing in humans and as well as matters and animals, revolution is inevitable as death. I wonder why men choose the path of doing evil rather than of good. This is were democracy comes into being whereas scholars have defined it as were majority voices are on stake but reverse is the case. After the reverence of the majority in order to bring person (a few) into power, the subjected few will decide to do good because of necessity after getting what he desire, he let go off the hands of the people. ;(I can of imagine why will the masses decision never be agreed upon even with mass demonstration using placate to shown their aggrievance rather the few will send their agent to offense the crowd. Not knowing the masses are many, the more injury we substain the more courage and rage we employ and pick to brazen up our quests. This is where I agree with Socrates that democracy is the worst system of government it breeds anarchy, tryanny and aristocracy. Where few decide upon many. If truly, democracy is meant for people as Abraham Lincoln has vouch then why should the people voice and demand not be heard in haste, if the few are there for the masses. The masses continue to pursue and push their cause and the few on the other hand continue to revert it. Not minding that if 50000 people march to Senate for the removal of one few it is possible for the masses goal and objectives to be achieved. The police and the army should stop their offensive attacks on poor armless people whose weapons are placate, papers and pen. The best weapon on earth is to put it in writing. And this can be done through papers and pen. So democracy is just a word if people are starving and suffering, if people need things and are not giving, if people call for your resignation and you refuse to resign then why are you imposing yourself on those who don’t want you. The army and police are a powerful institution in a country, i indulge them to side with the masses when there is an uprising or revolution because they elected the few and they needed change in the systems that is they embarked on the revolution process, through peaceful protests. History has not recorded any protesters protesting with a weapon but it is done with a placate peacefully but when shove turns to push only then do they react. A state should be strong when the masses decide not to follow the will of the few rather than build an everlasting peace and harmony among the masses and the few, if the few willing step aside for the will of the people who brought him into power. But, the few runned it as an enterprises where he drive the state like a car and bash it into a pole with a strap seat belt only to come out safely not minding the well being of the car other damage or not simply because of selfish interest, he trys to institutionized all the institutions into his hands in order to exploit and suppress the masses. Since revolution is evolving round the globe we can of embrace it and support those with solidarity strength if it is done without racial discrimination, religious bigotry, sentimentalism just to mention a few but under the auspices of respect for human, equality and justices and free will of all humans. So the few should always pave way to the masses to achieve their desire which is revolution not by curbing it with their agents. The agents should remember that the masses are they one who elected the few, to the power, and power is trust. Since the trust has been breached, the masses has right of free will to assert it back. Since time is the father of truth, the world must experience revolution, only time can stop it.

Christmas jamboree road to early grave

The road to early grave lies on christmas ritualistic approach of both elderly, adolescent and youths attitude to the jamboree of christmas. This notion has existed for a long period, study has it that 80% of death, social vices and crime rate increase during this period, ramadan period not to be excepted. The surprising thing about this is they are religious event. The question that lies is why do this sadful events occur doing this period? This is a million dollar question which need a logical answer and this can be trace down to the roots of all this celebrations. There is an axiom that says if you don’t know where you come from, you won’t know where you are going. Government has fused religious holiday to the running of a state, they tend to give public holiday to mark this events, this tends to increase social vices such as rape, abuse of alcohol, reckless driving, kidnap cases, assault, adultery etc just to mention a few. Idleness is devils’ workshop- this implies that, when people, absent themselves from work they tend to employed themselves at social vices of all nature. In order to curb this, religious holidays should not be granted/given by government. History has it that when a government is too religious especially link itself with a particular religion, it encourage disaster upon its citizenry. Moreover, these are the mistake that King Louis did and church gain more power, before riding off the road let me quickly surf the last memories of christmas jamboree, study has it that majority of the people, has pass through episodic and traumatic depression because of the sadness the experience in the pass, for instance Boko Haram bomb blast experiences in pass christmas’ eve. Nelson Mandela: An ill Hero

Nelson Mandela has indeed liberated South Africans from apartheid regime but has not liberated them from the shackles of capitalism. South African working class and peasants are suffering immensely because he sold them to capitalistic approach of the view of the economy. He has imbibe hardship to them as of then till now, and which they will continue to experience until true revolution occurs. He has all the tools to liberate them from economic tussling posed by the few as when he was the president of south African but I wonder why he did not do so according to the blueprint maybe he is suffering from myopia attitude of what his goals are, seen it from rearview. Maybe, the corporations that control the economy of South African back then threaten to imposed financial sanctions through their agents by cutting trade relationship with others foreign countries mostly caucasian who are pulling out back then and deceiving him with financial grants and loans to service the economy. He erred, he could have nationalised all of the company in order to reminisce what they did in the past. Apartheid lesions are so deep, sharpeville wounds are never will never be forgetten then why should he deviate from the masses. He let his emotions to outrun the masses will. If truly, he was a liberator, then the spirit of revolution suppose not to be quench like that of Mao. I wonder why should he be tag a hero when he did not safe the masses from suffering modern day enslavement called capitalism which till now is more of apartheid. A true hero supposed not to bring freedom to the people but to find it among them which is to free them from all ramfication of life; he did the part and left the other to who why? The work of any revolutionary is to execute the revolution. Though he has liberated them but he is an ill hero.
